Christmas Message for My Wish Nest Facebook Community

To our, Facebook family-We launched My Wish Nest a few weeks ago! We have all struggled through our first year together with every part of our lives being drastically and fundamentally changed- perhaps forever. From working from home, home-schooling, not being able to see your friends or the rest of your family. There's no doubt about it, it has been the toughest year ever. Yet, here we all are, united against our mutual struggle of staying alive and keeping our families and wider community safe- despite our enormous struggles we made it to the other side of a brutal second wave of coronavirus in our community.

Our team here at My Wish Nest are so proud of all of us for making the sacrifices necessary to save as many vulnerable members in our own community. It has been a hard-fought battle, and we are finally able to be with each other and celebrate the second last holiday of the year. The holiday we prize the dearest to our hearts. The holiday that kids dream about all year and the holiday that every mum the world over plans for at least 6 months out from the day to ensure that her family have the most special and magical day. The kind of day that remains nestled and safe in cherished childhood memories of bygone Christmas's past.

To our members in Sydney- We are with you and for you. We truly understand the struggles and fear you may all be experiencing right now. We send you our love and thoughts and deepest sympathies for what you are all going through right now. You are in our prayers now and thoughts.

To our members around the world in another lockdown facing the possibility of being separated from loved ones and living in fear for their health and wellbeing, we are with you all in spirit and hold you in our hearts. Much love from us all here at My Wish Nest.

We have shared many milestones all together despite not being able to truly celebrate them and mark them in a meaningful way befitting of what you all deserve. We've celebrated our first Mothers day, Fathers day, first Valentine's day, First Easter altogether, birthdays, anniversary's, wakes' and funerals, all whilst being separated from each other.

As we celebrate this special moment together, let us also remember those less fortunate than us. Send them our thoughts and love, health- as some of the more fortunate amongst us has been so blessed to have. For all those who have lost their lives due to this horrible illness this year, for those that lost loved ones, jobs, homes and those who suffered from poor mental health. We hold you in our hearts and in our thoughts.

We wish you all the merriest Christmas, filled with everything you have wished for. Our hope for you all is a better year ahead, as life slowly returns to what you once knew of it. We hope and wish that you have more days with those that you love. That next year, you'll get a whole uninterrupted year at school, work, sports, and all the things you hold dear, and a chance to spend more time with your friends and make new friends too.
